Corradino & Papa, LLC, a leading New Jersey personal injury law firm, donated $5,000 to support Ocean County fire departments that fought the devastating Jones Road Wildfire in April 2025. The Forked River Volunteer Fire Department, Barnegat Volunteer Fire Company Station 11, Lanoka Harbor Vol. Fire Co. #1 and Waretown Volunteer Fire Company each received $1,250.
The Jones Road Wildfire, which began on April 22, 2025, burned 15,300 acres across Ocean and Lacey townships, making it among the 20 largest wildfires in New Jersey's history over the past century. The blaze forced the evacuation of approximately 5,000 residents, destroyed one commercial building, and threatened over 1,300 structures before being fully contained on May 12, 2025.
These donations help volunteer fire departments replenish critical resources and equipment used during firefighting efforts. Volunteer fire companies often rely on community support to maintain their equipment, purchase supplies, and fund training programs that keep firefighters prepared for emergency situations. The extended battle against the Jones Road Wildfire placed significant strain on these departments' resources as crews worked around the clock for weeks to protect lives and property.
